The People's Democratic Republic of Korea – the people's paradise of socialism

 

With the founding of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) 75 years ago, on September 9th Juche 37 (1948), the Great Leader President KIM IL SUNG gave the Korean people the greatest and most beautiful gift - a free, independent and democratic state.

Three years after Korea's liberation from the colonial rule of Japanese imperialism, the Korean people received their own state in the liberated motherland.

But just two years after it was founded, the young republic faced the most  difficult  and  toughest  test  in its history.

On June 25, 1950, the traitorous Syngman Rhee clique, punched and armed by the US imperialists, invaded the DPRK.

US imperialism's genocidal war of aggression against the DPRK and the Korean people had begun.

But under the wise strategic leadership of the Great Generalissimo     KIM IL SUNG, the invincible Leader of the Päktu Mountains with iron will, the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the Korean people won a splendid victory over the USA aggressors in the Fatherland Liberation War on July 27, 1953.

ʺLittleʺ Korea was the first country in the world to achieve a military victory over the ʺ world power ʺ USA.
Only a country that has a people-loving leader, who is loved by the people, can defeat  even  the strongest power in the world.
After the historic victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, a unique socialist state was built under the leadership of President KIM IL SUNG and Chairman KIM JONG IL.
Regarding the people as the highest and most valuable, the two great leaders made the DPRK the true paradise of the people - true to their life maxim  ʺThe people is Godʺ.
In socialist Korea, health care, education and housing are free and taxes are abolished. These achievements are unique.
Today, the construction and defense of socialism is being continued and accomplished  by Respected  Comrade KIM JONG UN.
But these achievements must also be defended militarily. Socialist Korea must constantly defend itself against the threats of aggression and war provocations from the US imperialists, who still want to illegally occupy South Korea and conquer and subdue the North.
For this reason, the DPRK feels compelled to build a strong nuclear deterrent.
Under the leadership of Generalissimo KIM JONG IL and             Marshal KIM JONG UN, the DPRK has become a full-fledged nuclear-armed state that no enemy dares to attack with impunity.
The DPRK has also struggled tirelessly for the independent and peaceful unification of Korea since its establishment.
In its foreign policy, the DPRK promotes peace and friendship with the peoples. It cultivates relationships of solidarity with the other socialist states, such as China, Vietnam, Laos and Cuba.
Since August 1975, the DPRK has been a member state of the Non-Aligned Movement.
True to the Juche ideology, socialism with Korean characteristics is being built in the DPRK under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), independently and self-sufficiently, based on its own strength.
Thanks to the unanimous unity of the people around the leader and the party, socialist Korea not only survived all currents and challenges of world politics, especially the collapse of socialism in Central and Eastern Europe and the fall of the Soviet Union, but even more so the superiority of socialism proven and put into practice.
The DPRK can look back on its 75-year history with justifiable pride and joy.
Under the noble and wise  leadership of the Respected               Comrade KIM JONG UN, the DPRK and the people of Korea will make new achievements in building a powerful and prosperous  Socialist  State.
We warmly congratulate the DPRK on the 75th anniversary of its founding and wish it continued great achievements

  The 2nd Session of the European Regional Forum for Friendship ,Solidarity and Exchange with the Korean people ‘Juche Korea 75 years’  Hosted by the Korean Friendship Association of the UK was held on the 9th of September at 1500 hours BST via Zoom .
