Contribution of Julien Hornet President Romania-Korea Friendship Association

 Distinguished guests, I warmly greet you on behalf of Romania-Korea friendship association, and express gratitude for organizing forum “75 years of Juche Korea”and solidarity with DPR of Korea. 

The 75-year history of DPRK is a history of great struggle and victory, a history of great creation and transformation, in which, braving the tempest of the revolution under the leadership of the great leader and the great Party, the independence and honor of the country were defended and a thriving socialist country was built. 

The high prestige and invincible might of the DPRK and all its successes in the revolution and construction are associated only with the august names of KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL. 

Under the wise leadership of President KIM IL SUNG, the DPRK created a people-centered socialist system in which there is no exploitation and oppression .The improvement of the people's living standards is the supreme principle of state activity and this is underpinned by legalization. As the great eternal leader President KIM IL SUNG said "Our people are now enjoying fully independent and creative lives in the embrace of the Republic, as masters of the state and society. In our country all the people exercise their full rights to independence through their active participation in the political life of the state. They are adding luster to their worthwhile lives through their creative struggle to achieve the high aim set by the Party, helping and leading each other forward, closely united on the basis of revolutionary constancy and comradeship. All the material and cultural needs, such as food, clothing, and housing, are met by the state, which also provides them with secure jobs according to their abilities. They are leading equally happy lives, receiving the benefits of free education, free medical care and so on from the state and society".

 In the mid-1990s KIM JONG IL made public “Giving Priority to Ideological Work Is Essential for Accomplishing Socialism”, “Socialism Is a Science” and other works and kindled more fiercely the flames of ideological revolution to make the service personnel and people cherish a conviction in the sure victory of socialism. It provided a powerful guarantee for win victory defending socialism and building a thriving country. 

Thanks to the far-sighted leadership of KIM JONG IL who devoted primary efforts to the strengthening of the ideological position in the revolution and construction, the service personnel and people of the DPRK, with indomitable mental strength, could completely change the looks of the country, accelerate putting the national economy on a modern and informatics footing and ushered in a heyday in developing the country’s science and technology and building socialist culture under difficult conditions. 

The root of socialism is people. One of the DPRK’s unlimited powers is the people’s absolute trust in and support for it. In the DPRK, The People are My God, the lifelong motto of the great leaders, has been materialized to the letter and the entire people are ready to defend their leader and fatherland. Through their actual life the Korean people deeply comprehended the superiority of the benevolent socialist system. That’s why socialism struck root in their minds and has become an inseparable life to them. 

The imperialists are leaving no stone unturned in order to arrest the aspiration of humankind after socialism and stamp it out. In the closing years of the last century socialism experienced a temporary setback owing to the mean tricks employed by the imperialist forces to overthrow socialism, including bribing of the renegades of socialism. The fact that the imperialists are trying hard to wipe out socialism proves the superiority of socialism over capitalism. If capitalism is superior to socialism, they will have no need to make desperate efforts to destroy the latter by employing all kinds of methods such as military arbitrariness, psychological warfare and economic blockade. For fear of the fact that the world capitalist system will be totally crumbled by the attraction and influence of socialism in case the socialist countries are left as they are, they are resorting to every possible means and methods. 

This notwithstanding, the more desperate efforts they make the stronger the struggle becomes to defend and advance socialism. The trend of aspiration for socialism is conspicuous in Latin America, too, which has been called a “quite backyard” of the United States. 

Through their actual life the Korean people deeply comprehended the superiority of the benevolent socialist system. That’s why socialism struck root in their minds and has become an inseparable life to them. The realities of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea demonstrating its dignified appearance as an invincible bulwark which opposes imperialism and staunchly defends the cause of socialism instill great confidence and courage in the minds of the peoples throughout the world.

 Now, Comrade KIM JONG UN, President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, who is identical with the preceding leaders, makes the DPRK as the socialist People’s Republic and invincible power with his politics of prioritizing the people and respecting and loving them. 

Thanks to wise leadership of President KIM JONG UN who leads the nation to patriotic struggle for reunification, the day of reunification will soon come true and reunified Korea will be the most powerful country in the world
